The Call For Artists is now LIVE for the second annual Green With Indie Craft Show!
What is it? It’s a large, indoor green indie craft fair hosted by the STL Craft Mafia & Webster U’s Environmental Studies Committee. Featuring info on green living, an Upcycle Exchange Program to reuse and donate craft supplies, and lots more! This year there will be a few differences in the event – it will be a one day show instead of two and booths will be more spacious. Check the website for details!

As you’ve probably noticed, we’re all a little pumped about Indie Craft Revolution this weekend. Our first large indie craft show of 2010 kicks off tomorrow at 10AM sharp! Here’s our little guide for the show this weekend.

St. Louis Artists’ Guild to host Indie Craft Revolution an Indie Art and Craft Market organized by the St. Louis Craft Mafia.
Don’t miss the Indie Craft Revolution. An amazing shopping experience that focuses on the handmade. Organize by the St. Louis Craft Mafia.
Over 65 vendors will show off their fabulous wares within the historic and beautifully preserved St. Louis Artists’ Guild and Galleries. The event takes place Saturday March 13, 2010 from 10am to 6pm and Sunday March 14, 2010 from 10am to 4pm.
The St. Louis Craft Mafia is teaming up with partners such as SCORCH, RFT, PASTE, Yelp, Funky Finds and Well Body Acupuncture and Chiropractic to make this event a reality. This show aims to provide St. Louis with well made, handmade and interesting items. You will find everything from jewelry, soap, clothing (wearable and non) to fine art objects. Big Ass Indie 3 This Weekend!.

Tonight kicks off the third dose of the Big Ass Indie Art & Craft Show at Mad Art Gallery in Soulard. The festivities (and shopping!) begins at 7PM, sharp. Bring your pals and check out the goods while you enjoy a cool beverage from the bar and shop to the tunes of Venice Gas House Trolley.
Big Ass Indie is a department store-style show with more than 80 local artisans. Prepare to shop handmade clothing, jewelry, paper goods, plush, toys, accessories, photography, fine art, housewares, children’s items, and much more. FREE admission Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Be sure to bring your dry and canned goods to the show this weekend! Food & supply donations go directly to the Violence Prevention Center of Southwest Illinois & local food pantries.

Call For Art : Indie Craft Revolution!.

Indie Craft Revolution is an indoor, booth style, juried art and independent craft market. Indie Craft Revolution is a St. Louis Craft Mafia art and craft show. Located conveniently at the St. Louis Artist’s Guild in Oak Knoll Park at the corner of Clayton and Big Bend.
The application window will begin on December 1st, 2009 and conclude on January 15th, 2010. The Indie Craft Revolution team will jury the applications and all artists will be notified via email of their status in the show on/or before January 22nd, 2010. There is no fee to apply for this show.

This Weekend : Strange Folk Festival.

This weekend, we’ll be swimming in indie crafts at the area’s largest outdoor indie craft show: The Strange Folk Festival. With 125 artists and crafters taking over O’Fallon, IL’s community park – you won’t be able to miss the crafty goodness!
Along with the handmade wonders you’ll find family-friendly fun at the petting zoo, giant sandbox, handmade hula-hoops, eco-friendly projects and an igloo those crafty gnomes made from milk cartons!
