Crafter vs. The Evil Insurance Company.

If you have adopted children, or any children for that matter, you might want to read this story on KSDK. Our very own Ahimsa Creations has recently adopted a lovely little girl from Korea – and despite assurances from Golden Rule (the insurance company) they were DENIED coverage outright.

There is apparently a loophole of some sort (watch the video or read the blog for a more detailed explanation) that allows them to refuse coverage for an adopted child. And did I mention that they did their homework? The insurance company actually told them that Olive would be covered.

How many other adopted children will face this same obstacle?

This is a HUGE ISSUE – particularly amongst artists and crafteres, where many of us are self-employed.

In true DIY fashion, the Fricks are fighting this, all on their own. Please scour your brain for potential media or legal contacts and spread the word – we can’t let a sister crafter take this on without our help!
